Max, the one who started it all.

I met Max when he was a young pup and a frequent flyer at the doggy daycare and boarding facility I started my career at. The moment I met him I knew we belonged together, I was so sure I even got a tattoo of him before he was offically mine. A couple years of 7 day daycare weeks, neglectful and unbothered owners, I finally got the call. September 2nd 2020… Max was finally my dog. At this point Max had severe seperation anxiety, dog selective, human aggressive, severe reactivity, and was not house broken, but I was never worried. A few weeks of TLC and Max was a whole new dog, he was my go to introduction dog for new dogs, my human social butterfly, and my demonstration dog for all my training clients. I got to spend 5 years with one of the best dogs I have ever known, and they were 5 years filled with adventure, love and loyalty.

In June of 2025 my worst nightmare had happened, Max was misdiagnosed at a vets office a few weeks prior and ultimately passed to Hemangiosarcoma very suddenly and very unexpectedly. I never could have imagined that I would lose my boy, not like that at least, He was close to his 8th birthday and was still the life of the party, playing like a puppy even the morning that he passed. This was beyond traumatic to myself and Bayou and still daily affects us. I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with my boy, there was truly never a dull moment. He was the dog that started my training career.
